The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially finalized the application process for the academic year 2024-2025, targeting the expansion of Postgraduate (PG) Medical and Super Speciality courses
Despite this explicit directive, the NMC has been inundated with complaints from post-graduate students alleging coercion by medical colleges/institutions to stay in designated hostels, often accompanied by exorbitant charges. Such actions are viewed as clear violations of Regulation 5.6 of the PGMER, 2023.
