ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లో Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr.NTRUHS) ఆధ్వర్యంలో MDS (PG Dental Degree / Diploma) 2026-27 admissions కోసం Competent Authority Quota (CQ) ప్రాస్పెక్టస్ విడుదలైంది. MDS చేయాలనుకునే డెంటల్ విద్యార్థులకు ఇది చాలా ముఖ్యమైన నోటిఫికేషన్. ముఖ్యంగా ఎవరు eligible, ఎప్పుడు apply చేయాలి, ఏ documents కావాలి, ఎంత fee ఉంటుంది, local reservation ఎలా ఉంటుంది వంటి విషయాలు ముందుగానే క్లియర్గా తెలుసుకోవాలి.

ఈసారి online application schedule ఇలా ఉంది:
- Notification date: 17-08-2026
- Without late fee application: 18-08-2026 ఉదయం 9:00 గంటల నుంచి 22-08-2026 రాత్రి 9:00 గంటల వరకు
- With late fee application: 23-08-2026 ఉదయం 9:00 గంటల నుంచి 24-08-2026 రాత్రి 9:00 గంటల వరకు
విద్యార్థులు చివరి నిమిషం వరకు wait చేయకుండా ముందుగానే apply చేయడం మంచిది.
ఎవరు అర్హులు?
ఈ CQ MDS admissions కు apply చేయాలంటే అభ్యర్థి ఈ అర్హతలు కలిగి ఉండాలి:
- గుర్తింపు పొందిన college/university నుంచి BDS degree పూర్తి చేసి ఉండాలి
- Internship 31-05-2026 లోపు పూర్తి చేసి ఉండాలి
- Dental Council of India / State Dental Council registration certificate ఉండాలి
- NEET MDS-2026లో qualifying marks ఉండాలి

- General category: 50th percentile – 308 marks
- General PwBD: 45th percentile – 289 marks
- SC / ST / BC / OBC (including PwBD in these categories): 40th percentile – 271 marks
సీట్ల నిర్మాణం ఎలా ఉంటుంది?
CQ seats గురించి prospectus ప్రకారం:
- Government Dental Collegesలో మొత్తం seatsలో 50% AIQకి వెళ్తాయి, మిగిలిన 50% State / Competent Authority Quotaలో ఉంటాయి
- Private Non-Minority Dental Collegesలో 50% seats Competent Authority Quota, మిగిలిన 50% Management Quota
అంటే CQ counsellingలో రాష్ట్ర quotaకి సంబంధించిన seats మాత్రమే consider చేయబడతాయి.
Local reservation – AP విద్యార్థులకు కీలక అంశం
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ MDS admissionsలో local area rules చాలా ముఖ్యమైనవి. Prospectus ప్రకారం:
- 85% seats local candidatesకు
- 15% unreserved seats కూడా ఇప్పుడు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ local candidatesకే పరిమితం అయ్యే విధంగా స్పష్టత ఇచ్చారు

Vertical reservation ఇలా ఉంటుంది:
- SC – 15%
- ST – 6%
- BC-A – 7%
- BC-B – 10%
- BC-C – 1%

అదనంగా:
- PwBD candidates కు 5% horizontal reservation ఉంటుంది
SC sub-classification కూడా ఈసారి స్పష్టంగా అమలు చేయబడుతుంది. కాబట్టి caste certificate latest online formatలో ఉండటం చాలా ముఖ్యం.

- Internship completion certificate
- Dental Council registration certificate

Latest online caste certificate from Govt. of Andhra Pradesh మాత్రమే valid. ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల caste certificates accepted కావు.

2026-27 current feeను ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించనుంది. అయితే reference కోసం గత సంవత్సరం fee structure ఇలా ఉంది:
- Clinical Degree / Diploma: ₹3,41,550
- Para Clinical Degree / Diploma: ₹3,07,395
Counselling process ఎలా ఉంటుంది?
ఈసారి మొత్తం counselling process online modeలోనే జరుగుతుంది. Registration, document upload, merit list, web options – అన్నీ onlineలోనే ఉంటాయి.
ముఖ్యమైన విషయం:
- Final merit listలో ఉన్న candidates మాత్రమే web options ఇవ్వగలరు
- Candidate ఎన్ని web options అయినా ఇవ్వొచ్చు
- కానీ genuinely join చేయాలనుకునే options మాత్రమే ఇవ్వడం మంచిది
Free exit, Mop-up, Stray round
Prospectus ప్రకారం:
- Phase-1, Phase-2లో కొన్ని సందర్భాల్లో free exit అవకాశం ఉంటుంది
- Mop-up / Phase-3లో rules కఠినంగా ఉంటాయి
- Stray vacancy roundలో seat allot అయితే compulsorily join అవ్వాలి
- join కాకపోతే security deposit forfeitureతో పాటు next academic year debarment కూడా ఉండొచ్చు

Phase-III (Mop-up) మరియు తదుపరి phasesలో seat blocking తగ్గించడానికి refundable security deposit ₹50,000 collect చేయనున్నట్లు prospectusలో ఉంది.
