Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTR UHS), Vijayawada, has issued the prospectus for admission to postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses under the Management Quota in private unaided minority and non-minority medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh for the 2026–27 academic year.
Applications must be submitted online through the university website. Candidates should read the prospectus carefully and select any NRI or Institutional Quota category they wish to claim when applying.
Application dates
The prospectus lists these application windows:
- Without late fee: 4:00 PM on 19 October to 10:00 PM on 23 October 2026
- With late fee: 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM on 24 October 2026
The university says that dates are tentative and may change. It will publish updates, merit lists, counselling notices and allotments on its official website, drntr.uhsap.in. Candidates should check the website regularly; individual notifications will not be sent.
Management Quota seat categories
The prospectus describes three Management Quota categories in private unaided non-minority colleges:
- S1 – Management Quota: 25% of the sanctioned intake. The prospectus divides these seats into S1A, open to candidates across India, and S1B, for eligible local candidates from Andhra Pradesh.
- S2 – NRI Quota: 15% of the total intake for eligible foreign students, NRI candidates and qualifying NRI relatives.
- S3 – Institutional Quota: 10% of the total intake for eligible candidates connected to the college sponsoring them, subject to the prospectus criteria.
The seat matrix will be published on the university website before Phase I web options. Seat availability and category rules may vary by college and course, so candidates should check the final matrix before exercising options.
Who can apply?
Candidates must meet the applicable NMC regulations and qualify NEET PG 2026. The prospectus lists these minimum qualifying scores:
| Category | Percentile | Score stated in prospectus |
|---|---|---|
| General/EWS | 50th | 262 |
| General-PwBD | 45th | 244 |
| SC/ST/OBC, including PwBD | 40th | 226 |
Candidates must have completed their internship by 30 September 2026. Applicants who completed their medical qualification outside India must also meet the FMGE screening requirement and hold the required medical registrations described in the prospectus.
The prospectus states that the lower qualifying percentile for certain categories is for eligibility; it does not create a reservation entitlement in these Management Quota seats.
Additional requirements for NRI and Institutional Quota applicants
NRI applicants (S2) may include actual NRI candidates, eligible foreign students and certain qualifying children or blood relatives of NRIs. Applicants claiming through a relative must provide the required declaration and relationship evidence. The prospectus also lists documents such as the NRI sponsor’s passport, NRE bank statement and family tree certificate, as applicable.
Institutional applicants (S3) must meet one of the prospectus’s college connection criteria. These include having completed MBBS at the sponsoring institution, being an eligible employee of that institution, or being the eligible son or daughter of an employee. Employee-related claims require supporting records, including an appointment order and recent payslips endorsed by the principal.
Candidates should confirm their specific eligibility and document requirements in the prospectus before choosing S2 or S3. The university says that category preferences cannot be changed after the phase-wise merit list is published and counselling for that phase has begun.

The application is online, including document uploads and payment. Candidates should keep clear scanned copies of the documents relevant to their application, such as:

|---|---|---|

Merit list and counselling
The university says merit positions will be based on NEET PG 2026 rank, eligibility and applicable rules. It will publish the final merit position after verifying uploaded certificates. Candidates who become eligible for counselling must follow the university’s web-option instructions and check each phase’s rules before participating.
Submitting an application does not guarantee a seat. Admission depends on eligibility, merit, available seats, category rules and the candidate’s options.
What applicants should do now
Before the application window opens, candidates should read the full prospectus, confirm their eligibility, gather the required documents and decide whether they are applying under S1, S2 or S3. After submission, they should retain a copy of the application and payment confirmation and continue checking the university website for merit-list and counselling updates.
