Admission Process
The Department of Medical Education & Research shall conduct Common Centralized Counseling through Centralized Counseling Committee constituted by the State Government for filling-up of 50% State Quota PG (MD / MS) Degree seats in Govt. Medical Colleges and Private Medical colleges of the State of Himachal Pradesh as per State merit drawn by the Centralized Counseling Committee (MD /MS) on the basis of marks/ score NEET-PG
STEP FOR COUNSELING PROCESS Department Of Medical Education And Research Himachal Pradesh,Is Conducting Three Rounds of Counseling for NEET PG FIRST ROUND SECOND ROUND MOP ROUND (OFF-LINE) ROUND -1 Application for Pre-Counseling & Online Fee Payment Document Verification (Manual/Online) Eligible list & seat matrix publication - Round 1 Registration, Choice Filling and Locking of Choices Seat Allotment Process – Round 1 Result Publication - Round 1 Reporting for admission at the Allotted Institution – Round 1. ROUND 2 Application Online Fee Payment (who have not done in Round 1) Document Verification (Manual) (who have not done in Round 1) Eligible list & seat matrix publication - Round 2 Registration (who have not done in Round 1), Choice Filling and Locking of Choices Seat Allotment Process - Round 2 Result Publication - Round 2 Reporting for admission at the Allotted Institution - Round 2 *The candidates who opted the seat afresh during the 2nd round of Centralized Counselling in Government MedicalColleges of the State, are required to be deposited Rs. 25,000/- (for General category) and Rs. 12,500/-( for SC/ ST category) candidates in cash /Bank Draft as Registration fee with the authorities of Member Secretary of Centralized Counseling Committee before allotment of seat failing which seat will not be allotted to him/her . * However, no candidate shall be allowed to participate in the Mop up and subsequent round ( if any) of Centralized Counselling after seat was allotted to him/her during the 1st and 2nd round of Centralized Counselling in the State of Himachal Pradesh . After allotted of seat afresh ( no up gradation from one specialty to other in order of merit ) during the 2nd round of Centralized Counselling , if such candidate joined the course within stipulated joining period, the said registration fee shall be adjusted in tuition fee by the concerned college and such candidate shall not be eligible for subsequent round of Centralized Counselling/ Mop up round of counseling. If candidate do not joined, then the registration fee will be forfeited.
