The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) initiated the online application process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 on the afternoon of April 16. Aspiring candidates can register for the NEET PG exam via the official website natboard.edu.in starting from 3 PM on April 16 until 11:55 PM on May 6.
The NEET PG 2024 examination, previously scheduled for July 7, has been moved up to June 23. This change allows for an earlier evaluation and selection process, accommodating the academic schedules of medical institutions and their students. Candidates are encouraged to register early to ensure their participation in the examination.

Application Fees
As per the latest updates, NBEMS has revised the exam fee for NEET PG. The fee has been reduced by Rs 750 for candidates of all categories. The revised fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 3,500, while for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee is Rs 2,500.
The NEET PG exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying 4 marks. Therefore, the total marks for the exam amount to 800. Candidates are awarded 4 marks for each correct answer. However, for every incorrect response, one mark is deducted as a penalty.
According to the revised schedule, the results of the postgraduate entrance examination will be declared on July 15, 2024 and the counselling process will start on August 5 and will conclude on October 15, 2024. The new academic session will begin on September 16, and the last date for joining is October 21, 2024.
